Books for Mathematics

Here is an exhaustive list of Maths text books suggested for competitive exams.
The books which have been tagged as "Recommended" were used by me in some or the other way.
Note that I used a lot of books myself (I had a library of books at my home). However, you are not expected to buy them all. Use your own discretion here.
Also note that the books in the below link have been verified by me. At times I see people getting confused on which version to buy. The below versions are the ones that I myself used and are indeed worth a try.

  31. I have "Objective Mathematics" by Arihant Publications, written by S. K. Goyal. The book covers all topics. Is this okay or is it better to get the topic-wise books?
What are the pros and cons of getting complete course books rather than specific topic ones?
